Last year with a record attendance during the 5-day event, it just so happens that this “Fall Fair and Rodeo” takes place during the last long weekend of the Okanagan summer, so there are many more vehicles than usual, using our highways. This year, there is also road construction on Highway 97A, the main highway to Armstrong. For those wanting to attend the IPE that would like to avoid traffic delays, there are alternate routes to choose from. #1, Heading north on Highway 97A
If you miss the Otter Lake Road/Larkin turn off then proceed to the next exit. #2, Heading north on Highway 97A -
We want the experience of attending the fair to be a fun from the moment you leave your home, so take your time, try these alternative routes. Go to the IPE website, www.armstrongipe.com for complete maps and information. Saturday is Parade Day and the highway is very busy. The parade starts at 10am so give yourself extra time to ensure you don’t miss one of the best parades in the province!”, said Bryan Burns, IPE General Manager.
